Miles Mayhem was the Main bad guy in MASK. He was an oil baron and terrorist. Switchblade is a helicopter that turns into a fighter jet. He usually used it as a get away vehicle when the good guys showed up. 
The helicopter has two big buttons on the sides. One rotated the helicopter blades, the other activates the spring-loaded transformation from helicopter to jet.
The jet mode is nice. by far the best mode of the two. This was an expensive toy for the time, and was not quite as fun as other MASK toys. I think it had to do with the idea of regular cars turning into something special. In this case a helicopter that you had never seen turns into a jet that you had never seen. While it was cool, it just did not have the magic of the other MASK toys.
There is a missile underneath.
The cockpit canopy comes off very easily.
Venom is the name of the bad guy group. Miles’ oil company is called Snake Oil. So he is a snake oil salesman. Ha! Anyway, Switchblade is a little complicated because the side panels of the helicopter rotate forward and swivel to become jet wings. The rotor blade spin function often does not work after 30 years. There are a lot of stickers that are narrow or pointy, so these are often worn or missing.
The missile is often lost and the various mechanisms of the vehicle often do not work properly. There are a lot of parts available for this toy, because so many of them have been broken and taken apart for parts. But it is hard to find all the bits you need for a complete toy. In this case, it is generally cheaper and easier to find an original one intact, rather than buying the parts to make one. Also, the stickers are hard to find in good condition.
